Thanks!
This site could not have been made possible without
several people, including:
Greg
Ricker, Youngstown-area fire buff,
webmaster, youngstownfire.com and
the real expert on all things related to the Youngstown Fire Department. Greg
really got me interested in the Youngstown Fire Department through his site, and
soon after, I began my own research into the department. And through this, Greg
and I have began to collaborate on several things, including a YFD email
newsletter, as well as several other ventures. In the long term, I hope that
someday we can open a fire museum here in Youngstown, possibly at an old fire
station. Well, please, do me a favor and check out Greg's website. You may
notice some similarities to mine, but the history and current activities of the
YFD are so detailed that it would take 500 websites like ours to cover it
all.
Steve Bournias, Youngstown/Warren-area
fire buff. Steve is also a great source for information on all things fire
related, including YFD, FDNY, and the Warren, Ohio FD.
Bill Friedrich,
Chicago-area
fire apparatus photographer. Bill's photos appear on several of the current and
retired apparatus pages, and include the two Mack CF's on this page.
Steve Hagy, KY
and Ohio fire buff, an expert (known to most as "The
Authority") on almost all things fire-related. Steve gave me some really
good photos that are peppered throughout the site.
Daniel Schafer,
webmaster, Sutphen.com.
Bob Sharp, retired
Lt. in the Youngstown Fire Investigation Unit, now an Ohio Assistant State Fire
Marshal.
Greg Stapleton, Lexington,
KY firefighter and Mack CF expert.
