Retired Youngstown FD Captain Passes Away                                                            Taken in part from the Vindicator, Apr. 4, 2001

   YOUNGSTOWN - James Stewart Copeland, 66, of 238 Lilburn Dr. died Sunday at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Mr. Copeland, or Bill as he was known, was born in Embro County, N.C. and moved to Youngstown in 1951. He was appointed to the Youngstown Fire Department on May 4, 1967. On January 10, 1976, he was promoted to the rank of engineer. He retired in 1991 as a captain after serving 27 years. He leaves his wife, Jessie, four daughters, two sisters, seven grandchildren and a great grandchild.
