Battalion 1

Battalion 1 is a 1992 Chevy Suburban stationed at No.1 that responds city-wide on all Box 5's (full response) and when determined by dispatch. Battalion Chief 1 is usually assigned the role of officer-in-charge while Battalion Chief 2 is the safety officer. That does vary from call to call though. The three chiefs of Battalion 1 are Chiefs Tim McGarry (A-Turn), Bob Hian (B-Turn), and Jim Flynn (C-Turn). Battalion 1 was Youngstown's busiest battalion chief for the year 2000, running 498 calls.
