11/23/1999-214 Youngstown: Working Fire. 629 Alpine @ Alpine Lumber off of Poland Ave. Numerous explosions reported. Cos: Eng 2, 6, 9, Res33cue, Lad 24, BN 1, 2. Additional: B1 responding via the South Ave Bridge and reported a working fire in the distance. Additional: Upgraded to *2nd alarm* Cos: Eng 3, 7, 12, Lad 22. Eng 15 cover over to downtown (at #1). Fire control notified as well as Asst Chief. Additional: The Vindicator reports that a truck driver lit his lighter near a truck full of insulation (which gave off butane gas) and that's what exploded and lit the adjacent lumber yard up.
