High Angle Rope Rescue Truck

Youngstown's residents can be safe knowing that if they topple into a ravine, get stuck atop a water tower or one of Youngstown's multiple story buildings, they are protected by the YFD's High Angle Rope Rescue team. The team, commanded by Lt. Barry Finley, along with squad leaders Lt. Mark Farragher, FF Jim Drummond, and FF Fred Beehler, consists of 22 members, 20 men and two women. The fire department has rope rescuers and a team leader on each shift. The team uses a truck formerly used by the YFD Arson 14 Unit, which holds all of the teams rope, locking hinges, webbings, and other gear needed for rescues.
